References

[OLD] - Things that first appeared in the classic series (or the film).

The following are also covered:
[NEW] - Things that first appeared in the new series.
[1ST] - Things appearing for the first time in the episode.

Previously on Doctor Who...
  • [OLD] The main enemy of the Doctor, first appearing in the classic series and have regularly appeared in the new series. This Doctor and companions faced a Dalek in "Resolution" (Doctor Who (2005) New Year's Day Special 2019), the denouement of which was shown here.

The TARDIS
  • [OLD] The Doctor's time and space travel vehicle.  It stands for Time And Relative Dimension(s) In Space.  Like a lot of the Doctor's race's technology, it is "bigger on the inside."  The Doctor stole her second-hand TARDIS when fleeing her homeworld. It is an older model ("Type 40") and unreliable, often ending up in the wrong location, and being unable to blend into its environment (a feature TARDISes should have). This is the 12th television story in the history of Doctor Who in which the TARDIS does not appear, although it is mentioned a few times.

The Doctor
  • [OLD] The main character of Doctor Who, classic series and new. Born on Gallifrey,  she is a Time Lord. Due to Time Lords' ability to regenerate this is the "Thirteen Doctor," although she's recently discovered she has a secret past.

Jack Robertson
  • [NEW] American Billionaire and potential Presidential candidate who appeared in "Arachnids in the UK" (Doctor Who (2005) Series 11 Episode 4). His hotel was infested by giant spiders, because of the toxic waste under it.

Weeping Angel
  • [NEW] Recurring race in the new series. First appeared in "Blink(Doctor Who (2005) series 3).

The Ood
  • [NEW] Recurring race in the new series. Often bad guys due to the interference of outside forces.  First appeared in "The Impossible Planet" (Doctor Who (2005) series 2 episode 8).

The Sycorax
  • [NEW] An alien race who first appeared in "Smith & Jones" (Doctor Who (2005) series 3 episode 1).

Pting

Another TARDIS
  • [NEW] Another TARDIS that the Doctor used to send her companions home from Gallifrey in "The Timeless Children" (Doctor Who (2005) series 12 episode.) The Chameleon Circuit on this one seems to work.

Psychic Paper
  • [NEW] An item usually used by the Doctor to create false identification for the Doctor.  It first appeared in "The End of the World" (Doctor Who (2005) series 1).

Silent
  • [NEW] Recurring race in the new series. First appeared in "The Impossible Astronaut" (Doctor Who (2005) series 6), or possibly "The Big Bang" (Doctor Who (2005) series 5).

Captain Jack Harkness
  • [NEW] Former Time Agent from the 51st century, con-man and companion to the Ninth Doctor. He first appeared in "The Empty Child" (Doctor Who (2005) series 1 episode 9).

Rose as the Bad Wolf Entity
  • [NEW] Rose became the Bad Wolf Entity and brought Jack back from the dead in "The Parting of the Ways" (Doctor Who (2005) series 1 episode 13)

Gwen Cooper

  • [NEW] Worked with Jack Harkness in the Torchwood-3 organisation. She first appeared in "Everything Changes" (Torchwood (2006) series 1 episode 1), she also appeared briefly in "The Stolen Earth" & Journey's End (Doctor Who (2005) series 4 episode 12 & 13).
