  • [NEW]  Torchwood - An organisation created by Queen Victoria after the events of "Tooth and Claw" (Doctor Who series 2)..  Torchwood-1 (London) was destroyed by the events of "Army of Ghosts"/"Doomsday" (Doctor Who series 2).  This is Torchwood-3 (Cardiff), this is the first appearance of the 1918 team (or part thereof) while the 2008 version of this team first appeared in "Everything Changes(the first episode of Torchwood.)


  • [NEW]  Captain Jack Harkness - Former Time Agent, con-man and companion to the Tenth Doctor.  Head of Torchwood-3.  He was made immortal accidentally by the Bad Wolf entity (Rose Tyler) in the Doctor Who episode "The Parting of the Ways."

  • [OLD]  Cryogenics - In the Fourth Doctor story "The Ark in Space" (Season 12) thousands of humans were being kept in cryogenic chambers for 5 thousand years on a space station after solar flares wiped out all life on Earth.  They ended up oversleeping by several thousand years, being found by the Doctor in 16087AD.  In the Fifth Doctor story "Resurrection of the Daleks" (Season 21) Davros is helped to escape cryogenic imprisonment after "ninety years of boredom."  In the Sixth Doctor story "Revelation of the Daleks" (Season 22) the wealthy but near-dead are kept in cryo-sleep until a cure can be found for whatever is killing them.

  • [NEW]  Victorian times - As noted aboves, Torchwood was created by Queen Victoria in the Doctor Who episode "Tooth and Claw."

  • [TW]  Rift Manipulator - A device in the Torchwood-3 Hub which Owen used to bring Jack and Tosh back from 1941 in the  episode "Captain Jack Harkness" (Torchwood) and created chaos.  This seems to be a smaller, safer device.
