- Sarah Jane Smith questions her ability to understand alien languages, the Doctor states he knew she'd been mind-controlled because she'd never thought to ask before.

Serial 4N - The Hand of Fear [1 - 4]
- The Doctor tells an intern tending to the Doctor's injured arm that that the place he qualified as a Doctor was Gallifrey. Then intern assumed that perhaps it was in Ireland.
- Sarah Jane Smith and the Doctor part company. Sarah Jane Smith home, but she soon realises that he didn't drop her in South Croydon.

- The Doctor mentions gaining crossbow skills from William Tell.
- The Doctor asks a group to "Take me to your leader."

- Three classes of Kaldor sandminer robots appear: the mute D-class Dum Bots, the speech-capable V-class Voc Bots and the single leader robot SV-class Super Voc Bot.

Serial 4S - The Talons of Weng-Chiang [1 - 6]
- The Doctor is mistaken for a Time Agent, by Magnus Greel, a native of the 51st Century.
- Includes Mr Sin who was created with a pig's cerbal cortex.
- The Doctor tells Leela she would have loved the Battle of Agincourt.
- The Fourth Doctor claims "Sleep is for tortoises"
